We are a Christian-based charity known as ‘Number72’ in Sudbury, Suffolk.  The charity provides community- based services, including bereavement support for adults and children of all ages, debt advice, and ministering to families and other clients facing a range of difficult situations. 


We are recruiting for Centre Manager to run all aspects of our thriving drop-in facility in Sudbury, including our records and administrative systems, in order to deliver support services in Sudbury and its environs. This is a two-year, part-time contract (renewable for a further two years with mutual agreement) working four days a week, averaging 27 hours a week, term time only, 38 weeks a year.

The Centre Manager will :

·         ensure appropriate face to face support to clients through drop-in and other events and, therefore, will be required to go through an enhanced DBS vetting process due to the sensitive nature of the service delivered

·         have experience with a charity or similar organization in ministering to a range of clients within the community

·         a proven track record of managing people, money, premises, and a range of associated administrative tasks

·         be flexible and mature in their approach to problem-solving with excellent interpersonal skills

·         a caring, proactive, and motivational leader with the personal resilience needed to  inspire and support members of staff and volunteers, 

·         effectively manage occasional challenging behaviours from clients

·         responsible for overseeing finances and buildings maintenance, with an eye for detail

·         experience in project management to assist our community workers

·         possess a full driving license and have access to a suitable vehicle. If required, an appropriate mileage allowance will be paid to work outside ‘Number72’.

The salary to be paid to the right person is £20,520  per annum for an average of 27 hours per week, term time only (38 weeks a year).

PLEASE NOTE:  There is a Genuine Occupational Requirement for the Centre Manager to be a Christian with a deep Christian belief to represent the love of Jesus Christ in the community.
